About your question: not that we are experts on the area, but we went to the AT&T store near Springfield commons which is near Franconia. It's in the same strip mall location as old navy, borders, & performance bicycle. It's kind of crazy crowded on the weekend. They are even nicer when there's not a large crowd. However, always expect some sort of extra cost. We got the extended warranty because to replace the phone would cost about $500. Then you'll need a case to protect it. Then an activation charge. It comes out to more like $200 with all those goodies added, but that's still $100less. So it' a good time to snag a 3gig iPhone.
