Yet another reason to buy local

Honey sold in the US (but from China) is found to be high in banned antibiotics.

Really, I'm not a conspiracy theorist.

But leave my honey alone.

And really...when will we figure out that cheap goods and foods are KILLING US?

Is the cost savings worth it???

Now, I'm just mad. And I'm afraid to go make a cup of tea to soothe my nerves.

When will retailers in this country come to the realization that, generally, food from China is just not good?

Wow, I'm so grateful I've been getting my honey from local farmers...it's the sort of thing we like to pick up at road side stands. It makes me mad when I think about how the best farm lands are often mowed over to make room for yet another housing development...at least in CA that is. Farmers have to fight for rights to the water supply out here...hello, LA, where do you think all your food comes from?

Angoraknitter, I can't tell you how ready I am for the farmers markets to get back in season around here. I am so ready to be able to easily buy local again!!
