I mentioned a few days ago that I had news to share....it's really not all that exciting, folks, but I suppose it is about time I spilled the beans. Hubby's job change has been finalized and we will be moving to Washington DC in the very near future. Actually we're going to be in Alexandria, VA, but he'll be working in DC.
So now that it is official, the time has come to start looking at Realtors, property managers (do we sell or rent??!), places to move to, schools, churches and all the other trimmings that make for a good move.
I've spent all day today dealing with Realtors and storage folks, and I'm tuckered out. It's not like we haven't done this before (ahem, this will be our sixth move in 10 1/2 years, but who's counting??), but nonetheless the to do list feels a bit overwhelming tonight. Thank goodness I don't have to do it all tonight, or even this week.
Our move should be finalized by February, so please be patient with me....the next few months' worth of posts will probably have a lot to do with the fun that is a military move.
Here we go again.

by the way, that video is hysterical :)
happy times...new adventures...hope to meet you soon(ish).
Looking forward to having you in my neck of the woods. Be sure and call when you are in town. Remember home is where the Army, Air Force,Navy, Marines, or Coast Guard send you. My oldest attended 9 different schools by the time he graduated from high school. Our military moves have taken a hiatus so I am enjoying these few years of stability. You will enjoy this area.
