If, when living in Maine, you choose to adorn your front yard with Christmas lights, but neglect to take them down prior to a big snowfall and arctic temperatures, you will be staring at the lights in March as the cords will have been frozen into the ground. Completely. Under at least an inch or two of ice, with no hope of thawing out anytime soon.
Please make a note of it.
And I wondered why so few Mainers decorate their yards during Christmas.
