Where were you meme

Found this at Vivi's Dispatches from France blog and thought it was pretty good. Then I saw it over at another blog with the an added question about the Challenger explosion, so I'm including that one too. Feel free to do your own version and let me know about it in the comments section.

1) Where were you when Armstrong first walked on the Moon?

Twinkle in my daddy's eye.

2) Where were you when you heard Princess Di had died?

In the backseat of a cab in Gibraltar listening to a Spanish News Radio channel and trying to decipher exactly what was being said. I remember hearing Princessa Diana, BBC, and muerta. I basically figured it out from there. It was was weirdly ironic because Gibraltar is where Princess Di and Prince Charles spent their honeymoon.

3) Where were you on New Year’s Eve of 1999/2000?

Madrid, Spain in the downtown plaza with my hubby, my sister and a million other people.

4) Where were you on Sept.11, 2001?

At home in Florida with Sparky who was a wee newborn. As a new mom I had the TV on all the time so I watched coverage from the very first report. After a few hours, I remember turning him away from the TV so he wouldn't have such awful images ingrained in his head at such a tender age. I quit watching all the reports pretty quickly, it was just too much to take. And I thank God I had a baby depending on me at that time, because I think I would have otherwise curled up in a hole and not left for a few months.

5) Where were you when you first heard about the big 2004 Tsunami?

At our home in Silverdale. I read about it on the internet and remember seeing the Yahoo News Updates increasing the number feared dead every time I logged on to the computer.

6) Where were you when you first heard that Madonna would go on tour last year?

????
But the scary thing is, I can tell you. I was getting my haircut and my stylist was telling me all about it and how she couldn't wait to get tickets to see Madge in Boston (I think that's where the show was anyway).

And the last add in....Where were you when you heard about Challenger?
I watched it from my front yard in Florida. I was home sick from school that day and saw it with my own eyes.
