Long time gone

I know, I know. I'm the only one stopping by here anymore these days.....

But I have proof that I have not been merely avoiding Blogger and wasting away in front of the TV.

I, dear friends, am a nanowrimo winner. What's that you ask? A lovely little contest which challenges you to write a 50,000 word novel in the month of November. Anyone who reaches the 50,000 mark, wins. Yea Me!!

So, I began plotting and planning in mid-October and it basically consumed my life for the last six weeks. No blogging, no reading the newspaper or magazines at my doorstep. Heck, there wasn't even a lot of laundry or cooking being done at my house. But there is a novel on my desktop (that I wrote!!) and a mucho-grande sense of satisfaction for getting it done.

I hope to resume more blogging with the new year. For now, editing awaits. That and catching up on folding laundry.

I was wondering where you were!!

I want to read it.

Hey, next Monday a group of Catholic homeschoolers are going to noon Mass at the post chapel (Holy Day of Obligation) and then doing lunch afterward (potluck) at a community center right next to the chapel. Want to go? They won't bite, I promise.
