WOW!

Some of you know I teach childbirth classes and today I got to attend my first birth with one of my students.

WOW!!

Beautiful, amazing, joyful, powerful, calm----

LJ had her beautiful baby girl at 5:43 this morning after only an hour and a half at the Birth Center. Even the midwife was impressed with how peaceful everything was! When we arrived at the birth center, she was only 4 cm dilated, but once she went into the tub, she was almost instantly ready to push.

I've never seen someone so completely trusting of her body, of the birth process. She just knew that all was well and all would be well.

What a blessing to be able to share in this day with LJ and her family. What an amazing emotional high!! And even though I've had very little sleep, I'm wide awake with adrenaline.

Awesome!!
