So what do you do with your Halloween candy?

We went out as a family on Halloween and so by time we returned home, we didn't get any other trick or treaters. Which means I have all the loot the boys received PLUS my own ginormous bowl of treats. I can't bear to chuck it all...First of all that would be wasteful and secondly, It's CANDY for goodness sakes!! But if it sits in my dining room any longer I will turn into a pile of sugar. Seriously, I've had a piece of candy at every meal and for snacks too (who knew that Reese's cups tasted so good in the morning??!). I am on a serious sugar crash----

So what do you do with your leftovers? Throw it away? Hide it? Save it for later? Give it away? I need ideas. Fast.

We put some of our chocolate favorites in the refrigerator or freezer. Then I send the rest to work with Joe the day after Halloween. Usually I get my Halloween bowl back that same night and of course, it's empty ;o) BTW, we want photos of the kiddies. Mine are on my myspace page. Talk to you soon.

I freeze chocolate too. I don't like to eat it frozen, so it's safe until it thaws -- we means I have to premeditate my snacks! We didn't have much leftover, though.

The freezing idea is a good one! I just seperate all my candy out into two piles, chocolate and fruity (and I'll also put gum in its own pile) and then put them in their own ziploc bags & put them in the pantry. As long as its out of constant sight I don't munch on it as much. But I know its there, and I don't have to dig to find a piece of chocolate or whatever!

I usually take our leftovers to church for the youth group. They can always use it as prizes during games, or just because they don't mind having hyper teenagers.
