Some days I feel like I'm still a child learning about saints of the church and their feast days. I know bits and pieces of their lives, but there's always more to learn.
I've mentioned before how much I enjoy my faith, in that there are so many things to be learn. It's as if you can never know it all, so if one aspect of Catholicism isn't stirring your heart, you can explore another. Read up on the saints, meditate on the Eucharist, try a novena, the possibilities are endless ;-)
Which brings me to another favorite this month. St. Teresa of Avila is known for this prayer:
Let nothing disturb you; Let nothing frighten you. All things are passing. God never changes. Patience obtains all things. Nothing is wanting to him who possesses God. God alone suffices.
St. Teresa
Another one of my favorite prayers that has seen me through many rough spots. I'm realizing I don't know near enough about St. Teresa...but after hearing more about her today, she seems like a good one to read up on.
