When did MNF start broadcasting on Lifetime??

Grrr....

I have put up with the changes to Monday Night Football, but this may be the last straw. I've tried to be a good sport about Korneheiser--who makes Dennis Miller look like a great commentator by the way. But last night's opening montage featuring Deanna and Brett Favre was just too much.

I appreciate Mrs. Favre's dedication to her husband, the closeness they share and their survivor spirit. If, however, I want a sentimental, tear-jerking background story on my athletes, I will watch the Olympics. Not to sound like a complete ogre (I actually enjoy the Olympian's stories), but on Monday Night, I just want football. Good old American, bone-crunching, hard-hitting football. I want a good game with informed and intelligent announcers. Is that too much to ask?

I mentioned my frustration to my hubby and his take was that MNF isn't for real football fans. Obviously.

*edited to add, that while I didn't make it to half time to see her in the booth as a guest, I wouldn't have had a problem with that. Spend half time with whoever you want. Make it a great interview, that's fine---just don't start the evening off with a sappy piece....and that's all I have to say about that.
