What was up with Grey's Anatomy last night?

I mean, seriously. Could NO ONE have a happy ending? Did EVERYONE need to be left in a critical cliff- hanging situation? Just one little "it all ended well" would have made me happy. But instead we had Meredith and Derrick distant with each other, a called off wedding, George failing, Izzy generally freaking out, Alex missing his chance for love, Dr. Montgomery leaving the show, and Dr. Bailey missing out on the chief resident position. The only piece of good news was the Chief didn't lose his wife...but even that was saddened with the loss of a miscarriage.

Yes, I know waaayyyy too much about this show. But I swear, its the only one I watch regularly. I really wanted to go away for summer with good feelings about the show. Instead I felt down and depressed. Seriously.

Maybe I'll go rewatch seasons 1 and 2.
