I realize this post comes a few days late, but I hope everyone had a Blessed Easter! We had a wonderful day with friends and although it still looks like winter outside, it is so nice to know that we are finally in the season of rejoicing and new life.
A few random Easter comments from my world---
*Who would have thought we'd have a green Christmas and a White Easter? I guess that's life in Maine!
*I so look forward to singing the Alleluia at Easter Mass, its so nice to be yearning for something and then to get to fulfill that desire.
*As much as I love to see the pews filled to capacity on Easter Morning, it is such a challenge to keep little ones sqaushed into their places. I would love to have everyone attend Mass more regularly, but I will selfishly admit to being happy to have our regular space back next week.
*I ate WAYY to much on Easter Sunday. I know I did not have a penitential enough Lent to justify all that I enjoyed. But I was pleased that the old standbys (lasagna, a ham and Nana's Fruit Tart) as well as the new recipes I tried (carrot cake and a newer version of mashed potatoes) all turned out well.
*I have to remember to remind the Easter Bunny for next year the boys do not like Robin's Eggs (whoppers). The Mommy, however, does like these. So while this year the boys didn't each much of their candy stash, I've been eating like a fiend.
* I should also remind the Bunny that the boys love Peeps (much to my dismay---Blech! Nana loves them though, maybe its a skips-a-generation-thing??) And thus, we need more Peeps!
*Due to the above points, Weight Watchers Online starts again in earnest RIGHT. NOW. And you thought Lent was the only time we had for fasting.
