Things to be thankful for on Valentine's Day

  • For a snow day where we get to all stay home and just relax inside the house.
  • For a snow day where I can *finally* catch up on some laundry.
  • For the snow to not be so bad that we couldn't dig out of it.
  • For several rounds of "more isses" the eskimo kissing game tres and I play before his nap and bedtime.
  • For quiet time to sit by the window with the boys and watch a squirrel dig out snacks from his winter stash. Or her stash. I'm not really sure how you tell the gender of a squirrel. But that's another post entirely.
  • For an attentive husband who picked out the perfect Valentine's gift (one I had been hinting about for a while now).
  • For a chance to reflect on what it means to have a Valentine in my life. To know that to love and be loved is the greatest gift in the world.

What a lovely day you had!
So, what was the lovely gift?
That you hinted about?
And how did you teach your hubs to pick up the hint?
And can you teach mine?!

I received (but haven't actually gone and had yet) a massage and foot soak from a "tea and foot soak" place in the city. My girlfriend and I both got gift certificates to go and I'm pretty sure she TOLD ;-) her husband that we wanted a girly day to go together. So its not so much that I hinted, but that my friend insisted :-)
