And more things to file under odd

Only this is about my boys and not me.

I realize that as a mom, having bathroom time alone is a rare occurrence. So I've made my peace with having the boys play with the tub toys in the bathroom while I'm showering.

What I can't figure out is where they learned to be towel boys at the cabana. Both Catfish and Tres are fascinated with delivering the towel to the showering person. Catfish has grown out of this stage a bit, but somewhere along the line, he passed this great duty onto to Tres. I can just imagine the conversation that went on about the job.

"Its an extremely important duty. First, you must pick the towel that is on the bottom of the stack. The top one is never the best choice."

"Ok, choose the bottom towel."

"Then you need to put it on the floor, in a damp spot if you can find one, and lay on it, to warm it for mom or dad."

"Got it. Lay on the towel."

"Next, when you hear the water shut off, you jump up and gleefully announce that you have the towel. This is important because you don't want then to try and get their own towel."

"Right."

And so goes the routine. Tres stands on the other end of the shower curtain eagerly awaiting his chance to present THE PRIZED TOWEL. And then once the towel has been offered, my towel boys dance around a bit saying "Towel, Towel, Towel." And then they go on about their day.

I know Tres never saw Catfish do this routine, but it is uncanny how similar the whole process is. Seriously, they could be two floors away, but when they hear the shower shut off, you can count on a fresh towel (well almost anyway) delivered right to you.
