We're here!
The movers have packed and loaded everything and hopefully the first of two trucks should be at our new home on Thursday. Why two trucks you ask? Well, the powers that be goofed on the loading plans and sent a truck that was already half full with another move, so by the time they go to the end of our load, they realized there wasn't enough room for our whole house. Ahhhh the fun of it all!!
Although on paper this should have been our easiest move yet, the movers are doing everything in their power to gum up the works. I have high hopes that the move in will go better than the move out, but we shall see.
On a thankful and blessed note-- the drive was calm and uneventful, the friends and family we visited with on the drive were simply wonderful and the temperature here is amazing. I know 70 degrees is not normal for this time of year, but after doing our packout in 5 degrees, it sure felt nice to walk outside and enjoy the sunshine today.
There is a lot of work to be be done in the next few weeks, but until our shipment arrives we have a chance to sit back and take a breath. A deep breath and a glass of wine. And if I can ask for the deep breath, the glass of wine and a good nights sleep, I'll be good as gold. Really!
