quick and dirty update

Well, it's only dirty if you count the laundry piles in the basement.

  • We got 8 inches of snow yesterday. It's terribly fun, but FREEZING cold. Yes, I realize it needs to be cold to snow, but this is a mean cold that doesn't really encourage playing in the snow. Ahhh well....what can you do?
  • We may *fingers crossed* have a renter for our home.
  • I am halfway through my first novena. I picked an "easy" one for my first go-round, so I'll keep you posted on the outcome.
  • Yes, the novena is focused on my second update.
  • Christmas shopping is going well....let's just say we're making progress.
  • We have patron saints for 2008. Mine is St. Felicity and St. Perpetua and our family saint is St. Ursula. Lots to learn about these ladies.
  • I don't feel much Christmas spirit yet, but I think that needs to be more be-ing, less do-ing on my part.
  • I am, however, feeling kind of overwhelmed with the move. We're starting to get to the point where the milk expires AFTER we will be in our new home and that just seems unsettling. (technically my milk doesn't expire on my move date yet, but i know that day is coming and its always my cue that the move REALLY WILL HAPPEN....ugh).
That's it for today. I know my posting is light...I can only expect that it will be even moreso these next few weeks. I hope y'all (all three of you ;-) will stick around with me and read whenever I do manage to get one written. Heck, even if I don't have any readers, writing is still cheap therapy.

Cheers!

Denise, I'm very excited that you might have a renter for your house. I guess that answers my question as to what you decided to do. Keep those of us in the blog world (and those who do not blog but only read blogs) posted.
