on the mend and more

It would be interesting to go back over my blog to see how often I write about us being sick, and then better, and then sick again. I suppose like the seasons change and we come to expect the ritual and routine in our lives, we can say the same about illness and flu-bugs.

They come with the territory of raising children, they come with the change of seasons, the come regularly and routinely.

Ahh well, thank God for good medicine and and generally good-health. When I think of so many others who suffer and are sick, we have nothing to complain about. Even when it's like being a cast member of Dirty Jobs...it's still not worth complaining about. By the way, did you ever see the episode where he pukes a snake??? Good TV, I tell you.

Anyway...did I tell y'all that I had a cool blog story?? It's about a month old already...but I had a commenter who found me through a comment I had left on Suzanne Temples' lovely blog. She thought I might be a Denise she went to school with (I'm not), but it turns out we live right near each other. She just moved here recently, unfortunately, we're leaving soon. Nonetheless, we emailed back and forth and then I invited her to a MOPS group I go to. Turns out, she was already planning to attend MOPS that week.

Isn't that a way-cool coincidence?

I thought so.

God works in such mysterious ways-----

Anyway, we met at MOPS---and I'm hoping she's planning on coming again. We had a great time discussing our secret blog lives :-) It was kind of hard to explain to the other moms, who don't know I blog, how and why we "knew" each other already. But we had a really nice time chatting.

I've been meaning to write about it here since that day, but for one reason or another, just hadn't gotten around to it. But really, I have to say, it's just about the coolest thing that's happened to me with the whole blog thing. To think, I'm just here writing randomly and someone actually found me and we got to meet and share our interests and thoughts on the world around us.

Similar things have happened with comments I've left for others...but this is the first time it's ever happened this-a-way.

I'm just thankful she was so sweet and not a crazy internet stalker I invited to our MOPS group :-)

Denise, You are way too funny! It was a pleasure meeting you and yes, I am saddened by the fact that I came to the MOPS group just as you are leaving. I will be there on Wednesday, though I haven't picked up a copy of the book yet. I guess I will sit and listen.

No worries about the book...it's pretty easy to participate whether you've read it or not.

I'm glad to hear you'll be there this week!!
